Season two is coming: everything new on Airwave

We are back. After a short break, Airwave returns next week with a new season across all six shows, three new hosts on the way and something members have been asking for since the start: a weekly bonus episode.

Here is everything that is coming, and everything that is changing.

New episodes, every week

Every show returns with a full season. Deep Cuts goes deeper into music history, with episodes on the drum machine, the mixtape and the rise and fall of the music video. Night Shift heads to a fire station, a newsroom and an all-night diner. Future Tense tackles quantum computers, satellites and the software that runs the world's power grids. Field Notes goes to the coast. Small Talk and The Ledger continue their conversations with people who make things and run things.

Bonus episodes for members

From this season, members get a bonus episode every week: extended interviews, behind-the-scenes conversations between the hosts and listener questions answered on air. Members also get ad-free feeds for every show and early access to new series.

We made this network so people could hear stories they would never hear anywhere else. Members are the reason we can keep doing it.

New voices

Three new hosts join the network this season. We will introduce each of them properly in their first episodes, but we can say this much: one is a former air traffic controller, one runs a community radio station in a small coastal town, and one has spent ten years recording whales.
